Club Logo Contest Update: We had lots of great ideas submitted — thanks to everyone who sent in a logo concept for the contest! The three finalists have been selected and now it’s time for all club members to cast your vote for the logo you like best. Current members will receive an email with a link to the online ballot, allowing you to cast one vote for the new club logo. Voting deadline is midnight on March 12, so watch your email inbox for the ballot link. Please contact us at bgrwebsite@gmail.com if you have questions or don’t receive the ballot email.

Volunteers Needed to Help with Scott County Trailbuilding Project Our February club meeting guest speaker Leigh Maynard has asked for volunteers to assist in building a mountain biking and running trail in Scott County. The project has approval from the Scott County Fiscal Court and most sections of the trail have been at least roughly laid out. Trailbuilding is now beginning on some sections, and when the trail is completed it will provide more than 12 miles of quality running and biking trail for public use. Volunteers are needed on weekends, and no experience is necessary. Tools will be provided if needed. Contact Leigh Maynard at lmaynard@email.uky.edu if you’re interested in helping.
Interested in a Running Road Trip? After last year’s successful club trip to the Biltmore Estate 15K & 5K in Asheville, Vice President Rana Johnson has volunteered to organize another club bus trip this year, and she’s soliciting input from members regarding events and locations that would be of interest. If you have ideas or suggestions regarding a 2010 BLUEgrass Runners bus trip, please call Rana at 859-272-1697 or send an email to bgrwebsite@gmail.com.
If you have an event to submit to our calendar, you can add your event here.
